Deb Scanzillo, owner and Certified Trainer of Dogs Bay Country Club and Dogs Bay Training. Deb is a 1994 graduate of Companion School for Dog’s Certification Course in Behavior Modification and Obedience. Deb is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and has attended numerous seminars and workshops with Cesar Millan, Dr. Ian Dunbar DVM, Ph.D., CPDT, Dr. Karen Overall MA, VMD, Ph.D., Patricia McConnell Ph.D., Steve Dale, Trish King CPDT, Karen Pryor, Terry Ryan CPDT, Pia Silvani CPDT, Sue Sternberg, Nicole Wilde CPDT, Jan Elster, Teoti Anderson CPDT and Turid Rugaas…just to name a few!   ”I am one of the fortunate ones that has found their true passion and God given gift in life. I have been training dogs for over 14 years and could not imagine doing anything else.”

Lindsey Lehman is a certified educator currently teaching in the Holland area. In August, 2009, she graduated from the Dogs Bay Training Certification Program in Dog Obedience and Behavior Modification. Also, she recently became the very proud owner of Dogs Bay Training North (a subsidiary of Dogs Bay Training).

Lindsey has developed a vast understanding of animal psychology and behavior through her many years of working not only with dogs, but with rehabilitating wildlife as well. She strives to strengthen the dog/human bond by teaching people how to communicate with their pet.

“I have always been intrigued with animals; the way they communicate and interact with one another, their social structures, and how well they can read humans! Even though I work with dogs every day, I am consistently humbled by the intelligence, loyalty, and friendship they demonstrate toward humans. It’s no wonder they are called our best friends!”

Meet Lindsey on the Grand Haven pier every Saturday at 2:00 PM as she heads up our new Dogs at the Docks program.

Robert Crough – “I’ve been around dogs all my life, personally and professionally. As a teen in Kentucky and Tennesee I would watched intently as ranchers and stock contractors use Cattle Dogs to control massive herds of livestock with grace and precision. I’ve been able to witness first hand how the Kiwi train Aussie Shepards to heard sheep in New Zealand. These experiences motivated me to go to G.V.S.U. for an AS in animal biology 2004,2005. In 2006 I was hired at Companion School for Dogs as a manager of the dog school, and was quickly promoted to General Manager of the company. I was able to be taught dog behavior by two of the most successful trainers in the state, Deb Scanzillo, and the late Jim Scanzillo. My experience there was priceless.  In 2007 I traveled to Los Angeles to attend a dog behavior class put on by the “Dog Whisperer” himself Cesar Milan! I’m now at Dogs Bay in the Dog Rehabilitation Pack and as a personal trainer”.
