Training your dog is one of the most important aspects of raising a dog. A well trained dog is a happier dog because a trained dog has fewer restrictions and more privileges.

Building a Lifetime Relationship
Training serves to strengthen the bond between dog and owner. It builds trust, cooperation, communication, understanding and mutual respect. Statistics show that puppies that receive early behavior and obedience training are far more likely to be lifelong companions than those that do not receive this early training.

Training = Safety
Obedience training gives the owner the control necessary to help prevent potential tragedies. Not only will obedience training help your dog to become more responsive, but because it enables you to have more control over your dog's behavior, in an emergency situation obedience training may save your dog's life.

When Choosing a Trainer
There are no state licensing requirements that govern dog training. You can literally read a book and call yourself a dog trainer. Be careful of franchises where their "formal education" consists of a four week course and only deals with one style of training that may not work for your dog!  Check Credentials!!  Ask the trainer to provide you with one verifiable certificate of certification showing the trainer has some form of formal dog education.

If a trainer has to be dishonest about, or can not verify their credentials…buyer beware!!
